Yes, it's leaded, with no legal maximum. Illegal for road use too.

I just like the price. Burn a litre, save 50c

Are you sure about the two stroker comment? Last time I checked the RS125 was running somewhere around 12:1

Nominal 12:1. But effective compression ratio is always much much lower on a two smoker cos of the porting ('cept, maybe, I guess on something like a Bridgestone with disk valves).Though the addition of the oil in a petroil machine does drag the octane rating down quite a bit. And no hot exhaust valve to touch off detonation.

RS 250 - 12.5:1 - How is it my NSR makes a comparable amount of power with a mere 7.4:1 ??

The Japs measure 2 stroke compression ratios from the exhaust port closing, the Euro's do it from bottom dead centre like a 4 stroke.Imagine 4 strokes measured that way - the Eso motor with 14:1 compression ratio has the exhaust valve opening 100deg BEFORE BDC.....it'd probably have a 4:1 compression ratio.

Actually, comparable measure would be from inlet valve closing.
