    Blah License exemption

Anyone sucessfully applied for a license exemption for a larger class of bike?

Any pointers or tips, (waiting out my time notwithstanding)?

I'm just 'subscribing' to this thread in case someone has any information on that.. the size of my bike isn't very big, and most other 250's are worse..

Question is, why do you deserve one?

Put yourself in the position of the person approving the request, do you think you've got enough of an excuse to have one?

You could always ask for an exception to get something with a chain guard? Try and save the other thumb

You're fast enough on the ZXR as it is - what do you need a bigger bike for?

How long do you have left until you can apply for a full licence anyway?

I don’t want to go any faster (yet), you get a sore ass bouncing around on the ZXR , and it would be nice not to have to stop every 140Km for gas…. Would keep the ZXR for doing stupid stuff anyways.

Got at least another year on the R

eat lots, get fat and bingo...you can get a large bike, as you'd be considered dangerous on a small bike.

There is a certain weight that they measure on...can't remember it off the top of my head though.

ask pieboy, i mean gremlin. He said he was too fat, too tall, looked stupid on 250's (all of which are true) and managed to get one, even did a photoshoot at Colemans to prove he was ugly too! (was actually to prove the previous 3 points)

if your ZXR only gets 140km you have a fuelling problem, i had mine out to 290km on reserve once. Either that or you use too much throttle too soon. My R6 did 170km two up at pace yesterday, and i know i used to get near 200km on a fast ride on the ZXR before needing to gas up.

And if your bike is 'bouncing around' you need to fix your suspension, not get an exemption for a bigger bike.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
