What do you think of these?

The latest in mini chopper design?

saw them on trademe just now, think they're pushing what should be allowed to be registered as a moped...

Its ok i guess, just a different shape for a 50cc scooter, and if you ask me, far safer than those little raked choppers where you sit inchs off the ground. On those you are more likely to be run over by a car which doesnt see you than on this one. However id say with a 90cc or whatever kit it wouldnt be able to be registered as a moped legally, they have to have under 2kw i think to qualify as not needing WoF. On the other side i wouldnt buy one because parts would be near impossable to get and i doubt very much they wouldnt fall apart or break down at some stage. Stick with the big name brands which stock parts for at least ten years.

Is that like saying a Ducati 998 is almost as big as a Ducati 999 ?

(no offence to MrPeanut, he's just quoting the quote)

I saw a 6'4" 120kg guy riding one yesterday outside superchimp in Porirua. His one had been modified with ludicrous ape hangers. In his defence, he was correctly attired in protective gear. 'twas a shame he looked like a gimp.

    skidmark will be creaming himself.

Looks like a GN250 with a plush (probably hard) seat, and a whopping 50cc engine!

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
