    Any Oamaru people here?

    Anyone able to take a pic of the oil rig off your shore and post it? if it can easily be seen?
    I'm presently working on it, and am curious what it looks like from your fine town.......

    They drilling off Oamaru again? I remember them doing that back about 1970. Couldn't see much from shore then either.

    Yeah they reckon there is a good possibility of striking some oil. Or gas for that matter...........about a 3 km hole down so shouldn't be too long. Will be off to New Plymouth in the next month or so for a year..........
