What did I learn from this??
Well I guess it had to happen eventually.
Putting down the slowlane on Aucklands Norwestern motorway on the reverant (honda 600 revere) Trafffic was heavy -max speed 50 km/h
A good sized gap opened up in front of me as cars funnelled off the carrington offramp.
I opened the ol boy up to an earth shattering 80km/h taking advantage of the gap in front of me.
A silver toyota curren driver in the middle lane decided she wanted to occupy the same bit of road I was on. She was pretty emphatic and dramatic in her desire despite me being right alongside her left front guard at the time.
The crunching noise of collapsing car fender and compressing bone/boot was pretty loud. The screeching noise of the reverents tyres going fully sideways was interesting as well.
Im not sure if it was the thought of the panel beating bill or the dropped cellphone that convinced her that 2 dont go into 1 but she changed her mind as I was bouncing over the edge of the road leaning on her car.
Back into the middle lane and away she went.
The reverent was none too amused at this treatment but seems none the worse for wear.
Walking with a limp is ol frosty
Ohh and what did I learn--always wear good bike gear
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
