maybe it was powercoat? It was something like that the other half was mumbling about as I was bitching at my pipes being tarnished and covered in road tar and grit!

er.... nowt wrong with chrome. If you like chrome that is. Personally I chose the paint job so it wouldn't end up looking like something out of Monster Garage!

WD40 dissolves road tar well and Autosol (plus elbow grease) will remove any "pipe-blueing". Guess its all down to how long you are prepared to spend doing those fiddly bits when you could be out riding :-). Mrs Ceebie and I will look out for a brace of Hornets then next time the sun entices us all over the hill...hang on? I'm over the hill already :-(

Sounds good Ceebie, be interested to have a close lookie at your lovely new bike!!
Yeah, I know, elbow grease etc, but like you say, I'd rather be riding, or watching tv, drinking, scratching my bum, picking my nose etc, anything than scrubbing my pipes! Lol.

    Thanks heaps for this post.

At the end of the current BMX season our oldest will be moving from his Haro mini race bike to another. I was hoping to have the frame sandblasted and powdercoated so now I don't have to look any more.

    BTW the bike looks gorgeous.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

We were planning on going to Manfield for Sunday trackday, but weather looks disgusting!
If it clears up at all, yep will be riding somewhere, sometime, but if it stays like it is at the mo, I think the scratching my bum in bed sounds like a plan!!
Hope the weather is good so you can clock up some more ks on your new toy!!

haha... I often tell Lyn she has a nice bum... just a shame there's a crack in it!
Yeah...typical Labour Day weather forecasted. Will keep an eye out if it changes.

looks mint, definatly a sweet blingmod, simple aswell, i did a similar thing to my gunmetal/black/red cbr250rr, it had hideous red rims, i spent 140 an got em done satin black, a million times sexier, a rim change is a shibbey way to restyle ur bike scheme.

Looks good mate, certainly makes your front tyre look less chunky and fat.
