    As have I.

Took the Morini out for a spin today..what can I say other than it was the most comfy bike I have ridden thus far and I loved every minute on it.
I pulled away from Motormart on the Hutt road and the first thing that went through my mind for some reason, was “have I got my safety belt on”. I then thought..what the hell, I’m not in the car. The thing is, you are very upright on the bike and with my helmet I could not even see the mirrors without looking down. It was like riding a hovering chair. It was so easy to ride, did not even have to think about how, what gear, what revs, in fact I had to keep reminding myself that I am riding.
Got on the motorway and off she went…most of the time I felt like I was just cruising, but when I looked down I found was actually racing. The breaks are also very good on this bike, but with al the engine breaking I found myself not using them as often as I do on the R1.
Going up the Haywards in 6th gear…130 at 4kRPM…at this speed the bike is real smooth, no movement in the back..like riding on air. The front was a bit jumpy as I went over bumps. It is also surprisingly quiet when you are cruising, but when you open the throttle, she sings real loud..Got up to some cars, geared it down and gave it some gas.whoo hoooooo, no no..whe heeeeeee. So much grunt, I had to hang on for dear life. Think it needs some sort of a screen when doing long trips.
Going around the Patihanui round about was fun..no part of the bike is in vision, was just me and the hover chair…so cool. I thought I could easily ride it to Auckland.
I can honestly say, that if the 999S is not that much better than the R1, then my next bike will most defiantly be the Moto Morini (the V-rod dream has faded in the Morini’s shadow) and in red ….it looks awesome.
Cheers Martin and Motomart….the bike really put a big smile on my face…Now, can I ride it to Castlepoint on your ride….pleaaaaaaaaaase?
    Don't you just love golf?

*Cue Grandmaster Flash* "Don't push me, cos, I'm close to the edge". I've always suspected that there was more to my fascination with leather than it's fabulous skin protecting features. Has anyone else noticed Valentino's lovely eyes? He's Italian too you know. Maurice isn't Italian by any chance?

You've got nothing to worry about Sparky. Unless your hair gets all lovely and curly if you let it grow out a bit.
