I finally got over the whole worry of breaking the gearbox and tried clutchless shifting. It's very satisfying. Still not as quick as the CBR was getting to 100

THink I read somewhere that clutchless shifting when going up was actually better for the engine than useing the clutch. So long as you do it right.

Never did try my ZZR1100 for the 0-70 mph time when in the UK, I did often take it to the dragstrip at Santa Pod.

1/4 mile best was 10.5 seconds at 135mph (240 kph approx in 450 meters)
Not good with metric system yet

    Usually ran about 10,7 seconds.

This was a standard bike except for new carbs, dynojetting, new exhausts, lighter wheels and a fair bit of plastic removed at the track.

Rode the bike to and from the track from Cardiff so heaven help me if I had of totalled or blown it.

Been thinking of doing up one of those small 49cc pod bikes and trying it on the 1/4 mile if allowed. Anyone done this yet?

Should be good for a laugh or two.

I did feel smoother, so long as you quickly hit the gas straight after. Otherwise it felt like it was snatching
