asked Mom if I was a gifted child ... she said they certainly wouldn't have paid for me.
Red rep is not on!
Its in the public domain and the details brought up in here at the time were what was being reported elsewhere.![]()
Its not a nice topic but it's part of riding - life and death, probably of more concern to us the the general public, other than those to whom the unfortunates are known.![]()
Just another reminder that we are all human, mistakes can be made and the human body is pretty fragile.
Have a good weekend peeps.and ride safely![]()

I work for the company that is Transits service provider for the region. Prelim reports were that cutting back into the lane and take the chances with the truck was a better option than continue their passing manouvere, unsure what it was. But it is not my place to comment on exact events as the SCU where still to do their thing. It is knowen as a dangerous piece of road.
As everyone else has said please be careful out there and get there safe.

i'm sorry but this is a cop out. roads are not inherently dangerous. they are inanimate objects, pretty much the same the country over.
the behaviour of drivers/rider ON the road, unless there is a large washout or major spill (in which case it's not the road anymore anyway - it's what's on it, or not on it as the case may be) that causes a loss of control.
you could say that the bike in my garage is dangerous.
well it is if i'm doing 200k overtaking on a country road....
or guns are dangerous.........
RIP.
Thoughts go out to all involved
The real mystery is how come that fat bastard Hurley has never lost any weight.
Did anyone see any news reports about this accident ?
Checked the Waikato Times over the weekend and nothing.....
Yeah bit of a bugger really,3 bikes riding together, mate passes first rig, another one in front towards brow of hill pulls in between them, crawling up hill @ 50k's and gets taken out from behind by other rider who sends him and bike up and across Road and the dude that hit him ends up in up in back of truck. My mates ok just a little sore (could say he's a rather lucky chappy) and bike written off, like Scott said, I could've been there aswell, mate forgot to remind me on Thursday night, thank goodness.
As mad as a spider, and twice as hairy !
Rest in Peace Brother - May your new roads be smooth, cambered, and cageless!!!
A sobering reminder for us all... R.I.P fellow biker..
Condolences to all involved!
