The RF got a full front-end strip today, and now has nice new oil in the forks.

Out with the dark grey sludge (different amounts in each fork too), and in with the lovely straw coloured stuff.

What's everyone else been doing on their bikes this horrid rainy weekend?
Dunno where you was but at WINJA's the weather was not too bad at all. Did not ride in the rain all weekend. As for what I did for the bike? Along with some assistance from others we managed to get the yz80 to throw a ring and after that it might have dropped the piston. I then released it from ownership and swapped it for one of WINJA's leather jackets. Probably the best thing I did for the other bikes in the garage was not take them along with me this weekend...

...admired it, given it a big hug and said to it "there there my beauty, you stay tucked up in this nice warm and dry garage"

Swapped out rear indicators for shorter smaller once since I kept kicking the original ones getting on or off the bike. Soon as I get some double sided tape and the battery for my drill charged I'll be installing some side reflectors that double as running lights, night use only as they aren't bright enough to be seen during the daylight hours.

gave it a new set of braided brake lines front and back, replaced all the brake fluid, did a burnout at my mates - shagging my rear tyre and putting my gearbox onto its last legs.

Goes into the shop to get a new gearbox tomorrow so im not exactly worried.

Went to Napier with the dirt bikes and other than lubing the chains up there did nothing but ride them as per this thread http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...d.php?p=797673. Weather held out for two days and then today we cruised back to Welly.

Well I've given my baby more than usual.

New forkseals, new front tyre, front calipers reconditioned, new rear sprocket bought, basically going from front to rear and getting ready for the new amazing paint job Gromit is going to give her.

    Roll on licence back....

In the process of fitting a "screamer" to the radar detector to eliminate the need for an earpiece in my helmet. By Christ, it's loud in the garage on test

Gave it a new chain, finally got round to seting up the rear suspension, and figured out why it wouldn't rev out to the limiter - air filter was collapsing and blocking off the intake.

Removed air filter for thrashing purposes.

Started the hunt for a new filter element...

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!
