The Zed came with a 190/50 and it tended to stand up mid corner over bumps... I've now got a 190/55 on and with the different profile it's way better, more stable while cranked... 6" rim on the Zed... The 190/55 has a profile similar to the 180/55 on a 6" and 5" rim respectively... apparently.

And for the record... the 190/55 is actually narrower than the 190/50 was...

It's an age old debate, on just about every forum I've been on.... Don't think I'll bother with a 180 to be honest...

Busas are standard with a 190/50 on the rear. I have seen quite a few rumblings on various busa boards about guys who fit 180/55's to the 6 inch rim..! They reckon it turns the bike in much quicker. Don't know if its the tyre profile or the raising of the rear or both that does it for them..
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Yea, i would prefer 190 aswell. But the thing is how could 190/55 is narrower?
I would go with 6''. I just love the fatter rear end. I know that the handling will be harder but i dont really care as long as it looks good and it will have better grip on the road.

Could be narrower due to being a different manufacturer. Standard was a Bridgestone, Got a Pirelli Supercorsa on now.

I'll definately be paying more attention to the shape of a tyre. Some are more round while other more pointy... The pointiness makes it better in the corners while cranked... I'll sacrifice turn in for cranked stability any time...

see dude, you have a gay avatar and you're too lazy to search for the myriad of other information on this topic.

AND you just want to look cool? about as bright as a black mans arsehole.

I've run a 180 and a 190 on "The King" and didn't notice a huge difference so I'm sticking with what the manufacturer recommends, the 190.

I wonder why the manufacturer recommends a 190? must be cos it looks so fuckin cool.
