    Project ZXR250c - COMPLETE

Well, after buying this bike cosmetically damaged, and some of you will know the long road this has been to getting back on the road, she is finally complete, bar the kawasaki stickers and the indicators. It is possibly the tidiest 250 i have seen, i am so stoked. Now I have to sell it to top of the purchase of the gsxr! That i am very very gutted about. BUt the build was a lot of fun, the bike turned out just like i wanted, so time to look for another project i guess.

Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Those brake lines are fugly!!! You can uncoil the springs (I assume that's what's making them rusty looking), and someone like ABC can sell you some new ones to coil back on

And clean those wheels! Might as well get the highest price ya can

Oath they are ugly!!! Those as well as the wheels and a few other little bits still need to be tidied up, but really will only take a couple of hours, might sort them on the weekend. I just want to get the stickers for it, then i can give it a good wash and wax, then it will be all ready!

looks like a job well done, what did it look like before tho?

I know what you've gone through with restoring a crashed bike, it aint easy, mines getting there slowly, I've finished all engine work on mine, replaced the chain and sprockets (easier than i thought it'd be) and replaced all the fairing work which is slowly getting dropped back to me by the painters and is looking fantastic, just planning on dropping in tomorrow to do the fork seals, then it's just a matter of putting it all together and putting a wof and rego on it

Well the side fairings were both badly scratched, the front fairing took most of the hit and had been ripped apart and the front sub-frame had been bent a bit. I bought a new sub-frame from a guy in ausi. I checked each and every part before installation to make sure that they were in perfect condition. Then had the bike vinned, woffed and rego'd and checked over by the bike shop.(not that i don't trust my own work of course!!!)
I had initially bought this bike for parts, but after taking it for a ride, i was in love. The motor still felt brand spanking new...so did the rest of the bike for that matter.
I am sooo stoked with how it came up in the end man, all i can say is stick with your bike because the feeling of looking at it and seeing it restored is awesome.
