How come we never see any? Can't get away from the cage ads on TV, but bugger all bike ads.
So post your links to any TV bike ads.

I've noticed this before, no main stream motorcycle advertising on TV. Not like in Asia or Europe.
Imagine what could happen if motorcycles and scooters were aggresively marketed here in NZ like those petrol thirsty Holdens... or any cars for that matter.
Aucklands traffic woes just might see an improvement.
Though what do we care? I never sit in traffic anyways.

It's quite an interesting market.
It's a market where a large proportion of the consumers are enthusiasts and will go actively looking for information. As a result there is a large print media industry that make a living out of assessing and basically promoting their products for them.
So what is the percentage of the population who ride/own bikes? One in ten adults? (I dunno) Of that ten percent maybe 20% would be interested in a given type of bike ie sportsbikers wouldn't be interested in cruisers and vice versa so straight away you are only advertising to 2% of the viewing public for a given product you are trying to flog. Of that 2% only 50% would ever buy a brand new bike. The numbers are pretty small, given the cost of a thirty second time slot.
Maybe the bikes on the road are advertising in themselves. If you've got a current favourite that is out of reach then nothing compares to seeing/hearing the thing in the flesh for the first time....except riding it of course.
There was the Frugal Adventures of Scooter Boy. That got the Yamaha Jog's profile up. I even thought of getting one, since you can get it on only a few bucks a week
