Calling ALL HB mid week riders... lets get out there and support these two!
What are you doing with your daughter, we can help out there if you like..

It looks like this ride and the South Island Passes ride http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=33279 are going to mesh. The night of the 12th -13th we'll all be in the Picton- Blenheim area, and the night of the 14th - 15th we'll all be at Franz Joseph.
    Time to ride

This could be the excuse I've been looking for to ride the molesworth

There's actually an event happening at the moment down here, was talking to a bloke from Oxford today who had ridden through to link up with 20 other bikes that had done the southern half of the island and were heading North towards Nelson.

He was on a silver/blue GT750 Kawasaki with ride for life stickers plastered all over it, and when the main group passed through Rakaia they had a full mix of bikes and 3 support vehicles, one of which was towing a trailer with a very sad looking blue R1 on board.

Doing a damn good job, but they'd picked a fairly brisk day to be clocking up the Kms today

    Howdy all

The website is now up and running
    www.rideforlife.co.nz
Please take the time to have a look.
The Tag along riders section will be open for bookings next week; this will include the itinerary for the trip.
This section will also provide the details and costs to tag along on this adventure.
There will be more added to the website next month.

If you dont think you will be able to tag along on a section of the ride, Please support us, by making a donation using the links on the website.

Also for those that want to assist us a little more, could you print out the Poster that can be found under the media link page on the website, and distribute around your local motorcycle stores etc
Every little bit of help that you can provide will help us immensely.

    Regards Scott & Carissa
    Mr & Mrs Zukin

    How about a little competition?

Lets see which city can provide the biggest escort into their respective city

    The Cities are
    Auckland (Thursday 8th Feb 2007)
    Wellington (Sunday 11th Feb 2007)
    Dunedin (Sunday 18th Feb 2007)
    Christchurch (Monday 19th Feb 2007)

Lets see if we can get 100 motorcycles at least too one of these?
We will use our media contacts to try and get some good coverage of the biggest turn out

    Cheers Scott

Just checked out your website and have to ask the question - who's Alana? You say that Possum Bourne was so inspirational to you as a family and really influenced Alana and her passion for motorsport but I can't see any other mention of her and I'm nosy! Is she your daughter?

Good luck with the ride, it would be great if you could raise an amount like Nathan Blackler, a soldier from Linton who raised $60,000 for child cancer on a fundraising walk in NZ while in remission from cancer himself. Linton Military Camp is holding a big fundraiser/monter garage sale/carnival for his family on December 2, if anyone is interested in going along.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

    Hi
Alana is our daughter, she is 16 and mad on motorsport
Whilst she cant yet ride on the road, she will be coming along for the South Island leg of our journey in the support vehicle.
We would love to be able to give the Cancer Society as much as we possibly can.

    Cheers Scott

And by the way, that's meant to be a MONSTER garage sale - not a monter one! (I think he's the Maori guy from Outrageous Fortune!)

Good to hear of another female mad keen on rallying! Must confess to being a bit of fan myself!
