    Hey

That would be good if you can join us
We have all road bikes booked for the entire trip at the moment, so it would be good to have an 'adventure bike" for part or all of it

    Something we really appreciate
I have spoken to John, in passing, and we will see what happens. I am keen for the first and last day. Probably only to Gisborne on the way up as we would have to return home same day.

I would think we could get a few sorted closer to the time. Arrive in Masterton to escort you home.

Some preplanned pick up points would be great. Sure some K/B club members would sort this out in their own towns. Maybe get the Suzuki dealers on the job and the local papers.

    Yep will do this soon.

Have you contact NZ on air? We had good coverage of the 4X4 rally on TV 3 so I am sure if you and Suzuki NZ pushed the point hard enough you could get some good TV coverage. Even a Doco made.

    Hi Scott

A great cause, and a brave trip for new/off road riders on 250's.

When you pass through Levin on your way to Wellington I'll open my shop "Scooters Plus" and you can call in. I'll donate an "FFM Tourpro" Full face Helmet in any colour or size, plus a pair of NEO thinsulate Gloves and you can raffle them. By the time you reach us your bikes will need a minor service (oil change) We will donate 5L of TOTAL 4T synthetic motorcycle oil. Also, if you have any problems we have a bike carrying ute, and will collect you and help you out at any time.

Good luck, and have fun !

    Hi all

Just a quick update on our Ride around NZ charity event

We are not too far away from it now, just have to sort a few more things out.
There is a number of riders that have decided to do the entire ride with us, so that is good to know that not only will be have some company along the way, but also they are helping others out that are much less fortunate than us.Three cheers to them
We have raised about $2000 to date, so we are well under way for our $10k target.
We will really wind the fundraising campaign up in the first week of January

The booking page is now up and running on the website for those that want to tag along with us.
For those of you that cant/dont want to ride, please make a donation to the event either via credit card on our site, or make a deposit into the bank account listed in the post further up

Have a very safe and enjoyable Xmas and New Year

Wow, Dave, that's pretty generous! Shame I no longer work for the Standard as I'm sure they'd be keen to cover it - or the Chronic.

Nice to see some more Levin folk being nice!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

    Hello everyone

Now that the festive season is almost over, please consider making a donation to our charity adventure ride.

There are a number of ways you can assist
    1. Tag along for the entire ride, or for just one day?
    2. Make a donation with your credit card online here
    3. Deposit your donation into any BNZ Branch or via internet banking (Account number 02 0766 0123100 50

For more info on the ride, vist our website www.rideforlife.co.nz

We really want to give as much as we can to the Cancer Society and at the same time show NZ that motorcyclists are pretty damn good, and that they should get of the sofas and live it!!

    Regards Scott & Carissa

    Hi Scott & Carissa

I'm guessing that buy the time you reach Levin it will be about lunch time. If you like we will put on a BBQ. You guys and anyone who wants to tag along for the last hour into Welly can meet up here, have a snarler, a cuppa and use the dunny. We'll shout the snarlers and the cuppa.

    Scott and Carissa,
I am trying to work out which part of the ride I can join you on......
I'm based in Auckland and can meet you for the ride thru Auckland on the 5th Feb and would like to join you for the legs on 7 feb and 8 feb (Russel, Kaitaia, Auckland). Have you got spaces then?

I can't afford to take 4 days off in one lump so have to do this in a couple of bites.

Is there anything you want done?

Earlier you mentioned info about the ninety mile beach part, do you want me to sort that out?

    Regards
    Iain

    Hi Iain

Yes there are spaces left for those dates
It would be great if you could sort out the Ninety Mile Beach leg, I know where I go in (Northern End) but dont quite know where to exit it, that would save me another job

I am not sure though what time we will be coming through Auckland on the 5th?? We will leave Coromandel at approx 8.30am

    Cheers Scott

    Scott,
I will look after the 90 mile beach bit...all I need is some local knowledge!!!

I am assuming you are traveling from Coromandel to Thames, across the bottom of the Firth and up the opposite coast to Auckland rather than heading inland to the southern motorway.
If so, I would meet you on that coast, say at Miranda? Thats about 1 hour from Coromandel. I can happily act as a guide to the city if thats neccessary and would see you on your way after the harbour bridge.
Let me know if there is anything you want / need done.....

Anyway, I will get signed up for the legs on the 7th and 8th.

    regards
    Iain

    Hi Iain

Thanks a million for you offer, we would especially love an escort around the coast and through Auckland!
That is the one part of the trip we are not really looking forward to, and that is riding on Auckland Motorways

The one thing that we dont know for each day is arrival times, as there are a few riders coming for the entire trip now, there will be things that we will stop at etc along the way.

Miranda will be a good meeting point but I think we will need to txt or call you from somewhere to avoid you waiting around for us

    Thanks again
    Scott

Nasty and I have just done that coast and it's one of the nicest rides we've been on. Good road, great scenery, no cars. Take your time, you'll love it
