didn`t see my bike for 6 weeks - stuck in a container from the UK - but when I got the call to collect it from the docks, got all excited. When I saw it the shed I was all to eager to get the battery connected, shoved the plastics and windsceen in the car, and enjoyed every one of the 15 minutes ride home.

There is a therapy group that can help this issue.
Riders Anonymous: We meet daily and on occasional evenings at a location called "Twistys". You will probably know the place!

Yeah mate, I used to sit up late at night keeping the missis awake, then wake up early check the bike over all morning then head out.
I'd get home and all I'd want to do is discuss the ride and every little thing that happened!! My wife got so sick of it she decleared the lounge a 'motorbike free' zone... that was untill she started riding herself, now she can't shut up about it.... and she can't believe what a bitch she was for not wanting to listen to my stories!!

I had reverse symptoms - beautiful day down here and decided a cruise was in order - only to find CB had pinched the T-Sport to go to a work meeting in Milton.

I got UN-anticipation excitement real quick.

My ride anticipation syndrome manifests in conditioning leathers, polishing boots, cleaning visors and tinkering with the bike the night before a big ride.

Only to the untrained eye... (like the neighbour who keeps looking over the fence everynight wondering what on earth can be wrong with the bike this time, didn't he just fix it last night, surely it can't be dirty all ready!!)

When I first started riding I was scared S***less getting reeady for a ride,
I had heaps of anxiety, butterflys and all that for these reasons

Now I ride everyday (to work and back) and i'm in an excited state of
anticipation to get on the R6 and ride home....and days like this
as well (20 degrees hot).....it can't get much better than this!

How many other riders actually notice physical symptoms in anticipation of a decent length ride on their bikes?

It doesn't have to be in anticipation of a long ride that does it. Just a short ride will get me excited. In fact just cleaning or working on the bike gives me a cheesey grin. Yesterday was a beautiful day. A bit cold but clear and bright. Unfortunately I had to wait in for some carpet fitters who eventually turnred up too late for me to go out. I got the bike out with the intension of giving it the once over but sat and looked at it for ages with that feeling of anticipation.
