    Give him a brake

I would like to say that Spudchucker needs a vote he has a lot of guts fessing up as a traffic cop and taking all the crap on the chin
hes getting a bit cynical lately and we need his input and contribution firstly hes a biker the fact he is a cop is secondary to that and traffic cops do see some pretty nasty road kill. I would rather have him onside than offside so let give some spudchucking apprechiation. whos in?

    A brake? No! A break?.....
Surely Spud is appreciated on this board as much as any other poster.Without a wide ranging diversity of views, however seemlingly not appreciated by others, things would get pretty boring.
Nothing wrong with Spud. The wider the range of views and opinions, the better the chance of actually thinking about something new.

Mind you, I dont even mind Bondage Bunny...

Mate... I don't like gettin' a ticket... But I also know the rules. I might disagree with the rules and how they are inforced but I don't have any beef with the Police... (the politicians maybe)

Yep, some of them are prats, just like us!

Spudchucker old son, stick around.... Because when it's all said and done, when it all goes pear shaped... Who are you gunna call??

    Cheers

Definately agree, as far as I'm concerned he's a brave guy for doing the job he does, and he's gotta be a good fulla cos he's got a bike right!!!, he always has good input into discussions and deserves a bit of appreciation for saying what's right rather than what's trendy, I don't like getting tickets, or whatever, either, but someone has to keep us all in line, I know after I got a ticket, ( the only one I ever had in 20+ years of driving) it certainly made me watch my speed afterwards, I wouldn't have got one if I hadn't been speeding so it was my own fault.

what I meant was I feel guilty of using spud as a punching bag and trying to find a loophole in his arguments but given the same scenario I would pretent to be a plumber, now thats more of a rip off :cool2:

Yeah he seems like a fairly reasonable, rational guy, which is a lot better than far too many others

Just what I said PinNZ, slag 'em all you want but cops are the "sludge trap" in society, when nothing else wil stop or catch the shit as it falls, guess who will and who everybody eventually turns to?

I thought it was common knowledge he was a cop.
I for one don't think any less of him (or for that matter more) because of his profession.
pud youre a good sort as far as I can see

I have always supported the presence of the Po-leece on this site. Specially for their opinions on things as a cop and their knowledge of the law. Other than that, they are people who are into bikes just like everyone else here so why push them away?

Sounds about right to me - unless the individual involved is one of those people who deliberately starts fights just to see what happens [1], then the wider the range of experience and opinion, the richer the board.

And getting the police perspective can be very useful indeed - especially when it is one of those "Erm, did I do something wrong?" questions! Or wanting to do, say, some mod on your bike - who is going to know if it is potentially illegal?

[1] I once used a board where there was a bloke called 'Julian Solos' (Moko will cringe at the mention of THAT name!) - he was obsessed with accident figures and once famously said "I think accident photos are funny" - which led to a HUGE explosion from me (had a disc removed and my wife had reconstructive surgery on her knee following totally unrelated accidents). That idiot was banned - and a good thing too. If anyone disagreed with him, he'd start 'stalking' their posts and hurling abuse. Never did it to me, oddly enough.
