Legend, thanks. DVD recorder is set
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

You should have done his warrant at cut price. And failed it on everything under the sun. Expensive stuff. Then told him the vehicle wasn't roadworthy and you couldn't allow him to drive it away, danger to the public etc. And if he tried , as a responsible citizen, you'd have no choice but to call the cops.

WTF do people try to argue about the price of stuff like that.

    Good stuff Motu.

Then his car would fail and he would'nt want to pay because he never got the WOF.
The cost is for the WOF check, but a lot seem to think they dont have to pay if it does'nt pass.

And you're right, you dont have to work on his car, you dont have to do anything for anyone if its your business.
I've told a few people to fuck off and dont come back over the years after trying the nice route with them and they've all come back and apologised, which has amazed me.

The best saying I heard......'The customer is a cunt, until proven otherwise.'

But for that you must please be guaranteeing that it will be passing, is it not.

Dang, thats cheap. Cost me $50 for my one last week. Don't really care though, it passed and thats the main thing.

Should have let him have it for $25 and then found 20 things wrong with it that would cost him $2k to fix.

    They already know.

I wish we could go back to the good old days when the WoF price was fixed, everywhere you went they all charged the same price. These days I have to compete with idiots up the road who still do them for $20....that's an automatic fail of course, the price is just to get them in the door.No longer do we get thanked for finding a near lethal fault, only get accused of lining our pockets.

Because there are loads that do exactly that, like your idiots up the road..... Finding a good mechanic is like finding a snorkel when your over your head in shit.
