My brother stopped on last night on his '05 XT last night and I talked him into a bike swap for a day or two. So he went home on my GS1200 and I ripped off up Forest Hill rd into the waitakeres and through scenic drive.
What a machine. Is there anyone else on here with one of these?
Couldn't believe how light and nimble it was (well, compared to 220kg+ of my bike).
A friend helped him to remove some of the 'restrictions in the exhaust', and they have also stuffed an O2 sensor up the tail and tweaked the TPS. It is EFI but only runs on throttle position sensor.
I thought it was a little chuggy out of the bottom end if I ended up a gear taller than I should have been, and before you know it it has run out of steam up top, but that midrange puts a massive grin on your face.
