    ok guys and girls who on this forum works for gilmours need to know the good bad and the ugly.any complaints you have about them or anything else you have to say good or bad let it rip i just hope one manager reads this it might wake him up doubt that though.

    No they weren't. Witches were only burned when they were convicted of heresy under Ecclesiastical law. Which they weren't after the Witchcraft Act of 1536. After that they were hanged. After that women were only burned if convicted of treason (high or petty .And only women: men were hung drawn and quartered for the same crimes) Until the abolition of that punishment in 1790. Witchcraft itself ceased to be a criminal offence , of course, in 1736, which is probably what you are thinking of. I like to get these things straight.

    What is the legal position on PRIVATE witch burnings?
