New Zealand to host International Motocross November 2006
New Zealand will be holding an International Motocross on November 4th & 5th, 2006. The event will be hosted by the Taupo Motorcycle Club at Digger McEwen Park, Taupo, home of 2004 World MX2 Champion Ben Townley.
The event is a lead-in to the International Six Day World Enduro Championship, which is being hosted in Taupo November 14th – 19th. Digger McEwen Park will be holding the motocross test on the final day of the ISDE.
The clubs annual Labour Weekend Motocross Extravaganza which has run on Labour Weekend for the last 20 years and hosts in excess of 550 riders will now be run as part of the International meeting November 4th & 5th 2006.
The Taupo Motorcycle Club is pleased to announce the confirmation of Josh Coppins & Ben Townley as part of the International line-up and is currently in negotiation with other top international riders.
The club is hoping to attract several top international riders to this event who will be staying on to ride the ISDE. The International Motocross will be an excellent opportunity for the die hard enthusiasts to see another top class event while “down under”
