    Which Tyres?

Hi guys, I.m thinking of upgrading my tyres on my KDX. I currently have a set of Kenda Millvile's on it which haven't been to bad, although the front does have a tendancy to want to wash if im not careful and the rear is a bit slippery when on clay and grass if its wet on the surface.
I do alot of riding all round the top half of the north island so the soil types do change alot and I do quite a bit of riding at Thunder x where it is quite hard and a bit rocky in the summer but gets very muddy in when it rains.

I was looking at a set of MC4's or MC5's or maybe a set of M201/202's but I am keen to hear about what ever tyres you have tried.

P.S i'm also going to enter the next round of the GNCC so am keen to buy the best all round tyres that I can get.

On the cycle treads site they only seem to do the MS3 in a 19inch rear and the KDX has a 18inch rear. But it looks like a good tyre.

you can;t get MS3's in 18's, run the M401/M402 combo, they work well on KDX's and give good grip anywhere, i ran them at the tawarewa on a KDX and they hooked up really good,

They look like they would be real good for this time of year but any idea what they are like when it gets back to the real muddy season? Nice soil at the Tawarewa drains well and doesn't seem to get that muddy.

Surely you will be replacing them again by then anyway, but even if you dont, yes they are pretty good in the wet as well

it got muddy in places this year, a few ruts and standing water, the 402's work well everywhere, i think they are the pick of the mid range tyres at the moment, however some guys swear by MC5's
