fair point, magnesium head covers then, to be specific. I should have just paste and copied the whole lot but then it would just be a really long post when you can just read the link yourself. I'm not trying to sell the bike, makes no difference to me. Just pointing out some good things about what should be a good bike

Well you see mate....the thing IS....if you're gonna try and shoot someone down for "not knowing what you're talking about..."...you've gotta take XTRA care that you don't make a twat of yourself doing so.....

And by the way....magnesium has been used as material for all sorts of engine covers by Suzuki since the 70's. And nitrided fork sliders? K1 1000's had it back then.....and if Suzuki wanted to sell their GSXR for 30 K, it'd have Ohlins gear on it too....

I'm hardly trying to shoot you down, and I never said that Ducati is the world leader in new inovative bike componants, I was just pointing out that they are using the best parts that they have available at the present time, since you said yourself, why buy a bike if its not the best?

By the way, I just re-read the thread from the start, and out of the two of us, I don't think I came across as the twat.

Sweet, but according to that link though, your choice is red, red, red or the tri colour, but the tri colour with the Ities flag will cost another $5K or more.
$30K is a high price for a bike, not as bad as the MV's though.

I think Postie's doing real well to control himself at the moment. Being very diplomatic and all that. Crasher, time to back off mate, for the childrens sake.
