    More Bandit stuff

We put my bike on the dyno to check that all's well after solving the missing ponies puzzle. I'd intended to do back to back runs with a Micron race can and a street legal can. But I mounted the street legal can and, because it was 20 - 30mm longer than the race can, it came too close to the pannier bag. That wouldn't work. So I drilled the race can and fitted the removable baffle to it. This took the edge off the noise and I wanted to see what difference it would make to power.
The result was - 1/2 hp.
Peak horsies were 108.4, only 2.5 less than the old bike with airbox mods. That's 125 to 130 at the crank, so I'm pleased with a 25 odd hp jump from just a can and rejet.
Anyone want a practically unused Micron?

It's a K5 1200S. Micron can, 110 mains, needles shimmed .020". Three 13mm holes in the top of the airbox lid.
It's a touch rich over 6000, 105 mains would be better and maybe give another pony.

Why not just buy a 1400

The Bandit is quicker, lighter, better ground clearance, cheaper, and has a fairing.

A dyno base line run cost around $100 - $120.
