The SSD was a production model that ran along side the standard SD, only 100 or so made it to Australasia and SSD parts were an optional extra for Darmahs.
The Darmah didn't start getting chopped and changed with parts until 82ish which basically was SS swingarms sealey chain adjusters etc and were still being made in 84 when they were renowned for being as you said a parts bin special some even with MHR 900 motors
What Idb said plus it's missing it's steering damper too. but it's a more genuine article than the one in Wanganui
