    Cops

HI all, how is this then, today i went for a ride, left home went through Tahuna to Paeroa, cranked the TL up to 220kph no hassles, got stopped at check point at Paeroa, they wanted to look at bike sweet, left paeroa raced to Ngatea, cranked it up through Patetonga on way home, cop going other way in a line of cars flashed me then turned so i pulled over and he pulled up behind me (older cop) said he clocked me at 183kph asked me the usual (any reason blah blah) not really officer straight road, said i should be walking home, but then said he had a soft spot for bike riders and told me to slow down,no ticket received, warned me there were others close ,he then did u turn and left me to continue, go the waikato cops,

Very Lucky RCTL but if that was who i think it was, he is a top guy and rides himself, have ridden with him a few times myself. He is very bike tollerant but can only be pushed so far. Caution next time.
    Cheers

I know the road you're talking about, someone did 180+ on that, hauled the anchors, and passed Mr Plod at 100

*the road was closed at the time*

Who says he clocked you at that speed? You see it on his radar?

Really mate... pulling 183 as a line of cars were heading towards you...

As someone has said... you trying to lose your license? I don't mind you speeding at all really... but sheesh... you don't need a license?

You might want to consider that very lucky (people have lost their licenses for waaaaaay less), and keep the speed to quieter places eh?

You're a lucky man to get away with it.

I wouldn't exactly praise you for spouting on about it on a forum..... Those types of things you keep to yourself, one reason being, the 'good' cop in question could be located and dealt to, leaving us with another anti-biker to take his place...

They don't have to show you as far as I am aware. Most will out of courtesy, times I have been pulled the cop has sat me in the passenger seat and showed the reading then run the self diagnostic thingo on the thing
