this reminds me of a powder fuelled weekend in Swindon. Me and the girlfriend got so munted over the weekend that we thought we were being followed; i rang a mate at 5 in the morning to come 50miles to pick us up. His response fuck off.. get the train.

So we drove halfway home, wrote down 50 odd number plates and then ditched the car to get a train the remainder of the journey; we eventually get back and we walk into the plod shop and tell the counter jockey we're being followed. His response.. go home and sleep it off.

i've had some good trips on Tequilla too

    anyhows.. back on topic.

Can't beat that - we have no trains and even less paranoia - and you're 20 years behind the times.
    But we DO have tequila!!!

Now considering the modern 600's have the same power as my bike and a lot less weight.......
i know that.. as does everyone else. WE also KNOW the cops are targeting that area. ridng up there, at fun speeds, is like cleaning ya chain with it in first.

In NZ? Generally a good standard yes (I should know - I was one recently - certified as a 'gold' rated pursuit driver). You should see the standards some of the UK forces have - very high indeed.

NZ training is very limited on a 'professional driving scale of ability'. If they had the budget, they could do so much better.

Police do have to be able to justify why they were driving at the speeds they did - if it comes to that.

    Budget?

    what a pack of cocksmokers.

I hope they all fuckin crash. They are wasting their fucking time and the sooner they realise it and go catch some crims, or a tropical disease, the better.

There will always be idiots on bikes speeding, they're just gonna make us use different roads, ride without licences or do more runners.

@#$k yeah! That's one of my main problems with the pricks...the hypocrisy that some of their officers display.

Many years ago, when I actually bothered with SH16...

I was passing a couple of cars. Plod comes around the corner and goes past me. I check my mirrors but can't see him...'oh well,' I think, 'I was passing, I'm sure he understands my slight breach of the law in the name of passing safely.'

...fat #$&%'n chance...20 seconds later I check my mirrors and there is a Commie with a heinous paint job topped off with flashing lights closing in on me real fast, since I was back cruising at 100.

I was already in overdraft and paying off one fine, so I let rip and lost the prick in a matter of seconds. Kept the pace up for the next 15 mins, still no sign of asshole, sweet...come to some road works, sensibly crawl through the 1.5km or so of gravel. At about the 1km point was when I noticed the same pile of shit passing cars, on gravel, at what I'd estimate to be about 160 KM/HR!!!

And they charged me with dangerous driving once!! Ridiculous!!

    Over, out...
