I saw one at TSS. They aren't too bad for a learners bike/cheap commuter. Plus it has a cool name

Nothing wrong with a Ginny (but then I'm biased)

If you decide on a Ginny give me a yell as if I can get a buyer lined up for mine then my argument with the missus to get me a Hyobag before I get married will be insurmountable Also if I don't upgrade before buying a house it will never happen

I've got a 2005 Ginny, Red, 5500km, new front tyre (as standard front is like riding on ice), and 35ltr Givi on the back

Depending on what the asking price is...

Julie - This could be a good deal. The bike has been run in.... and it aint that old. So this would be worth having a look at as well... plus it has a box on the back to store your helmet or to out ya groceries in.....

New or used? If used, it must be a GN, since the Yamaha is new to the market.

On paper at least, the Yamaha should have an edge in performance. It uses the XT225 motor. PM Mr Wolf he has the trailie version, and is (apparently) very happy with it.

Both engines have been around for a good many years and should be well sorted.

The GN has the advantage that there are many old ones around and thus a good supply of second hand parts. Though this is not so pertinent to the purchase of a new machine, where presumably they would not be needed.

There is not much in it on paper, personal factors will be the important thing. Go sit on both, test ride if you can, see which dealer will sweeten the deal with some accessories or gear. Decide which one has styling that makes you all wet and trembly.

Both should hold a good second hand value
