Perth, Western Australia 1981.
Went to the pub at lunchtime and in the hour I was gone the plumbers had scattered sand all over the car park entrance to the big Industrial Hardware company i was working for

Installing new drains.

Was on an immaculate T140 Bonneville - except the rear brake just
happened to have seized that morning and was not working at all.

Fully cranked over to cross 2 lanes of Welshpool Rd - hard on the
front disc and into 1/2" of builders sand over concrete.

I remained upright above the horizontal and sliding bike with one gloved hand and both feet on the ground - and one hand on the handlebars trying to keep the bike off the ground with head down and arse pointed skywards.

I think I did close to a 520 degree rotation in this configuration before coming to a halt adjacent the operation's front door - precisely and uncannily as the managing Director strode from it.

'Afternoon David' was all he ever said about it.

Scratched headlight surround. No injury.

Regarded as my own version of the Triple Lindy.
