Two Wheels, Streetbike, Kiwirider, BRM without fail.
    Motorcycle Trader and AMCN occasionally.
    Classic Mechanics rarely.
    Bike, Performance Bikes never.

Used Bike Guide because they give it to me for nothing and I write for them sometimes,RIDE`s really good, loads of used machines tested and they have a massive database from their yearly survey so you get to read about bikes from those that actually ride them every day and spent their own money on them. Also they destruction test all kinds of bike gear, great mag.I liked kiwirider from the 2 or 3 copies I read while on holiday.apart from that I flip through the rest at W.H.Smiths(same company as Whitcouls I believe)which gets like a public library on a Saturday morning.Their shops are really badly laid out and paying is a pain in the arse so i browse their then pick up anything I fancy in the little shop round the corner where the greek guy would cut your hands off for flipping through his mags.

Me too! Great, isn't it? [Smug] - I read (some) of it when the free copy turns up. I also read RiDE as it has good tests and the Rider Power Survey (something like 12 to 15,000 riders fill in the questionnaire) makes for really useful reading. It is how I found the dealers I use now.

I read Bike most months (but not all) - first thing I do is turn to Dan Walsh (how I wish I had a fraction of his ability). I did read T.W.O. (Two Wheels Only) for a time - mainly as it has Niall MacKenzie (3 times Brit Superbike champ and former GP rider - best season place 4th) as Road Test Editor, but it doesn't seem to know if it is trying to be Bike or Superbike (guess which former employees of which two magazines make up the staff?)

Other than that? I get a magazine called 'Progress', which is the magazine of the Institute of Advanced Motorcylists (again, I write the occasional thing for them, so I get it free of charge).

When Superbike first came out back in the 70`s it had nude women in every bike test and a centrefold. Then it toned down a lot and became more mainstream, the newer nude stuff is fairly recent.

I used to get Motorcycle Mechanics, which then became Performance Bikes. The articles by the Late Great John Robinson were excellent, and the tests were pretty good and honest.
I gave up a couple of years back, when they became like a 2 wheel RiceBoy racer mag.
Other than that, Rod and Rifle, NZ Guns

Despite an extensive culling, I still have a huge stack of old Two Wheels and Performance Streetbike mags, so I occasionally re-read those, as I'm not allowed to buy bike mags, and quite frankly whenever I look at some in the stationers, it makes me go, "Ehhhh....so what! I'd rather be riding..."
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
