    Compresion gauge urgently required

The Monster is missing a bit at low revs. Duane (Bikes and Skis) recommended doing a compression test before racing again,to ensure there aren't valve clearance issues. So I bought a screw in type, with what appeared to have three different thread sizes, with one on and adaptor. It turns out it only has two different sizes, and they are both too big. So I kinda need to borrow a compression tester.... tonight or in the morning at the track. Can anyone help out??
My daughter telling me like it is:

Knock the ceramic core out of an old sparkplug and silicone the tube of the compression gauge into it. Taking care not to block the tube of course. Give it about an hour to go off and bingo.
