I've noticed a few times that they've closed down roads because of "bomb scares"

    Seriously... thats really sad...

    Some Q's

    1. How many bombs have been set off in the last 10 years in NZ
    2. How many terrorists attacks are there in NZ in the last 10 years?
    3. What is there to bomb in Auckland... down a dingy side street?
    4. What would be the point in bombing anything in NZ?

Maybe one day I'll be sorry for my attitude... but when they say bombscare... my first thought is "bullshit"

*doesn't see how people can seriously be worried about this sort of shit in NZ*

Its not like we live in Iraq... or the USA or even the UK...

Its like all that bullshit after 9/11... OMG someone might attack the skytower! TUI
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

EDIT: According to google, the robot and squads are located in Trentham
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

True enough, but its not exactly Fort St, although ironically its parallel to Shortland St

Besides, don't you live in Auckland? why would you write home to Auckland about a st in Auckland anyway?

it gives them something to do I guess. That robot looked all dusty when it came out of the van. I half wonder if it was a member of the bomb squad who put it there them selves, just for something to do.

They get paid to panic on behalf of all of us. 'tis their job - be prepared and all that.

That way I can afford to not give a shit and sleep at night

All I know, is I had to buy another lunch. $7.80 that cost me, where do I send the bill ?

I'm a poor old working man, I can afford to pay out $7.80 cos some robot gets trigger happy.

Try Elliott st in the wee hours, you will often find camera crew's there, and not a director in sight...
