Kaikoura TrailworkX Trailride 3rd Dec 2006

    To quote the email....
Upcoming trailride on December 3rd 2006 at kaikoura.
    See attached flyer.
Same place as last year’s enjoyable circuit at “steepdown”.

To me the TrailworkX rides usually seem a little quieter and more novice friendly than the Grenville rides.

I assume you'll be taking the CRF, how do reckon I'd get on with the DR? ... and thanks for the PM.

Edit: OK, hadn't noticed but you sent me 2 PM's, which answers 1/2 the above ... so, the DR? ... and not on a trailer.

Might pay to check with Linton at DAS, but i think it'll depend mostly on the condition of ya tyres and/or if the ground is wet. I don't remember any terribly bad bits on the general loop. I didn't try the harder deviations.

Family commitment again (NN) but would have been keen otherwise. Have fun on this one guys.

Don't think I'll be able to make this one.

The wife has called in huge favours and bent over backwards in order for me to be free for the following Saturday.

Hopefully in a year or two, it'll be this sort of event we'll be going to as a family.

Would love to come and have my first ride with the group but I am going to be in Queenstown for a few days. Am going to try and hire a bike for a day or two. Anyone know the good places to hire from over there? Was thinking about going for a ride into Macetown, anyone done that on a bike before?

I've decided I wont be at this one. It was always a toss up between this and other stuff I have on on the same day - this lost.

Yep, looks like i'll be skiping this one too. Just wanted to take the helmet camera for a run on one of these but there's always another time.
