Dickhead of the week goes to......ME

Am sitting here in my leathers feeling a bit bloody silly....bikes all packed up ready to head off up to otematata for the Kiwi biker get together...its pissing down so i posted up in the thread asking if it was still on and thinking the likes of SD coming up from way down south were going to have a miserable trip...got yapping to TWR who politely informed me that i was a few weeks early and that i was likely to have a lonely saturday night up there if i went today AHHH well never mind eh.....as TWr said i could have pretended i was an advanced scout checking out the badlands..... kind of buggered up my weekend.....

    Thumbs down

Nah I think the wally of the week award goes to the dickwad on a red Harley that passed me on double yellows in the manawatu gorge.... at around 12-35am Saturday morning...... which while highly illegal wasnt too unsafe and I wasnt gonna report it BUT!!! then proceeded to pass a 4x4 on a blind corner... started the second passing manouvere also on double yellows.

OH and shoot me ... .. cos did I *555 him????????? too dam right I did as I was just waiting for one of the many milktankers out that time of morning to come round the corner, and on a wet road with 4x4 one side of him and armco the other side I know where he woulda ended up !!!!

AND point to note as you shoot me ..... Im a linehaul truckdriver, wheres my workplace???? the NZ roads....and I like a safe workplace .... dont you ??

For a minute I thought 'I' had my dates wrong. Well at least you never arrived on your own. Now that would have been a talking point come the 9/10 December.

I can understand the safe work place thing, and fair enough for *555ing him.

As you may be well aware, the gorge has been in the press of late, with the local bobbies having a bit of a blitz in there on people going over the (double yellow) lines. (Edit: I see you are aware, just found your thread on it).

I know that if you cross the double yellows on a bike, then you really CAN'T ride!!! There is NO excuse.
Different story in a Rig I know....

It is a shame, however, that they had to put them in there in the first place! There used to be some really good places to overtake if you were able to see. ie, head about 30cm higher than a drivers head.

Just noticed you live in the same town as me kevie. I don't blame you for being on here on such a day either. Here I am on the computer looking out the window as my lake fills up with water! Ah, sorry lawn. The rain from yesterday hasn't even drained yet!

haha, nah I think my friend deserves it, was going for a bit of a blat in a cage around the back roads (first mistake he knows) took a corner he's done a million times a little fast, should have been fine, only it seems a shit load of gravel has been dumped on it for no reason, anyway, the tail kicks out (on a fwd car = not good) initially he tried to power out of it, but was beyond catching, so just let it spin a full 180 and he ends up facing the oposite way to what he should have been, pissing himself laughing, kick it into reverse and get out of there fairly quickly, and the funniest thing was a 500m down the road he see's a cop hiding behind a tree waiting for speeders, lucky he wasn't going fast aye

My farkwitoftheweek award goes to whoever rides 39TKL, (250 gixxer ?) passed me on Brougham St on the left (me in cage) & I was in the left lane.....he/she was in the gutter. Then as the next light went green overtook 3 cars on the left using a left turn only lane. On borrowed time I reckon.
