done that a few times in the car. Wasn't driving though, was far too young and it wasn't a race,.
Watched some of the RAC rally there too.

    Nice site

Got a nice picture taken at Oliver's Mount at home which I took in prehistoric times of Mike Hailwood on the 500 cc Honda four. Man, that thing was a brute, trying to kill him on every corner. It only handled when it got a British frame

I rode there a couple of times in the early 60s. Wouldn't say it was my favourite track, narrow, rough, potholed, lots of loose gravel and the only anti clockwise track that I know of apart from Brands Hatch Boxing Day meeting. The run down the mountain was bloody hairy and caned the brakes, up hill from the fiirst hairpin was a clutch killer. From what I can see on the web site it's improved beyond recognition. Minter and Hartle rode the old Gilera fours at one of the meetings I was at but I think they both pulled out with clutch problems. Good to see the track's still going strong though.

I went there last year for the last weekend of the season, the 125's and classics put in some fast laps.
Not much in the way of trade stands and the food was expensive, but a top day out regardless!
