BTW Zed, nice spudguitar smiley. Didn't know we had that one...

How did you know I play guitar?

Or are all motorcyclists either IT geeks or musicians, or both?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

If you ment computer geek, you got that bit right, glad your bikes back and running.I almost feel guilty sulking cause my bike will be off the road for a few days while I get the radiator fixed.

Goes all right though, and thats the main point.

Oh well, with three kids and one on the way, and one income, paying huge amounts of child support, and family court lawyer bills, coupled with a nasty big power bill this month, it's been a real challenge to even get this far in four weeks. Still don't know how I came up with $900, but trademe's been a real help.

Still got to sell a few more things this week to pay for the mirrors, indicators, insurance and pay for my watch to be fixed ($260!).

Won't be falling of in a hurry again, that's for sure
There are pros & cons to 3rd Party insurance. You have a number of pressures on you at present celtic...hope it all works out.

Both here, if you count my job as 'IT geek'. Which it isn't, really, but I *am* writing software a lot of the time.

And I've never been paid to play music. So I'm not sure if I count as a 'musician'. I don't even own a piano at the moment.

Pure coincidence! I'm involved in IT and music too. I'm sure there's a bunch of things we bikers have in common...and a whole lot we don't!

What happened to the radiator - stone through it or something?

Yes Merv, was out saturday with some of the boys, having a nice blat down 22, got back nearly home, stopped to wait for rear guard, and found a stone had hit one of the vanes causing a pin hole leak, rode home and pulled it out that night, hope its fixed within the next few days so I can go to manfield to support the KBers this saturday.

glad to hear you're getting it sussed this w/e zed.

...and equally sorry to hear that your RSVR is still cooped up Blu! you've gotta go for a ride before the snow hits, even if its hosing down with rain. You'll go berko otherwise!
CK, things are looking up....conned my way into 2nd level PC support and W2K rollout for a few months...may even get my own home (complete with garage!) in a few weeks.....maybe time to get the bike registered for the road.

Must be. I play guitar too, and work for a software house. Haven't done any programming for a while (apart from web stuff), and I'm starting to miss that.

Oh yeah - by the way - I'm back. Had to suffer 8 days holidaying in Queenstown (skiing, luging, helicoptering, skimobiling, that sort of thing).
It's a tough life, but someone's gotta do it, I guess....
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I've played guitar since I was 6 (nearly 32 years) and I've played in numerous bands over the years as either rhythm or lead guitarist.

    My weapons of choice:

1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom (white)

mid-80's era JCM800 1959 Marshall Head (both inputs bridged, Soltek 12AX7 input tubes and matched EL34 output tubes)

mid-80s era 1960A Marshall Angled Cabinet with Celestion G20 speakers

Boss GT-3 effects unit (a real beast of a unit)

All of my equipment I've owned since new.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
