    Heres the special edition.

    My grandads got one of these, the Saturno 500, looks a bit better than the others in that horrible orange .

    His one needs a few things done then i think it could be up for sale, but not before i get a ride

    Apparently we've never bumped into each other :-)

    Lovely bike. It runs on smell of gasoline yet is fast enough to get you a racing slip from a roadside cop.

    Head down to Scooter E-Motion in Mt Eden (behind TV3 off New North Rd) to see what the owner (Goetz) has in stock.

    The way he explained it to me was that all the italian scooter makers are pretty much owned by the same crowd. Piaggio are the luxury arm, Vespa the most recognisable and "trendy", and Gilera are the more sporty marque (he used to race them in Europe apparantly). Some seriously funky designs too.

    BTW, Piaggio own Aprilia too and their new "Mana" bike with the automatic transmission was designed by Piaggio.
