Saw this bike in town yesterday... Had to stop and have a look cause I've never seen the bike/brand before...
Its a Gilera 180cc
It looks to me like a Street Magic on steroids...
Do they make any sports bikes?

Yes they made a 500cc single sportsbike in the mid 90's called a Saturno.
Nice looking machine too.

Yeah PF, they are quite known for the Scooters they produce...
The bike you saw yesterday is the DNA, me being the shortie I am think they are quite cute to zip around town on...
ahhh... thats a better picture... as I mentioned they look to me like street magics on steroids... which is why it caught my eye "gee... thats a big street magic" and it wasn't... was also surprised to see it was a 180cc... not a common cc rating...
I was commenting to Sam that one of those might be kewl to play around on and pull wheelies and stoppies (I'm assuming its possible cause I've seen guys on street magics doing that...)
How much are they? About $3000?

Which was just a recycle of a famous name from the 50's and earlier.
In the 50's they had a 500cc in line 4 which was a serious GP contender. It was a glorious era for road racing. The plucky Manx Nortons and G50 Matchless's up gainst Johnnie foreigners techo Giliera 4,s, the MV tripples and 4's, The Moto Guzzi V8 etc etc.
The Saturno was a BSA Goldstar equivalent except RARE and now very very expensive.
The later bike is actually a very nice bike and what the Yam SRX600 should have been IMHO...
if you think that is funky looking try this
Italjet Dragster 180cc two stroke
its Crazy Big Al but if your have lesbian fantasies you can read it crazy bi gal if you like!
