Last brag thread - I swear!

Thanks must go to McJim for setting me in the direction of my new favourite My-Wife-Is-Going-To-Fucking-Kill-Me-And-Take-Away-My-Credit-Card store, Motomail!

Went in today purely for a gander, and walked out 30 minutes later armed with a pant load of prices, info... oh and a new waterproof jacket and boots!

What would normally have retailed at $320 was mine for a mere $198

Soon as I have $150 spare, I shall have pants and then all will be complete [insert maniacal laughter HERE]!

Rjays gear at poor married bastard prices - although special mention to the wife, for twas she that asked if I wanted to buy it all today. I love her so much! (No really, it's genuine love... really... oh shuddup...)

So rock on next 250 run - I almost look like a REAL biker!

Good protective clothing is an investment rather than an extravagance.
Although it's best to ride so that you don't need the protective qualities.

Glad you found the place okay - and glad you've got yourself into some protective gear. I hope you never need to test it's protective qualities.

See ya on the 3rd December then.

Heheh rock on. Is that the place in Western Springs? Next door to the tyre place? Are those two shops related somehow? The tyre shop seemed to be OK... the guy didn't really want me around due to it being Friday and him wanting to go home, but he did it when I stood around and waited for him, did a nice sticky Avon rear for a good price. Yeah gear is good shit. Have you seen the photo of my hands after coming off with no gloves? Pretty and shiny and red...

No worries about bragging. Always interested to read your threads, learn about the trials of your lovely bike. Still got the RZ? Haven't swapped it for a GN?

What was the jacket out of curiosity? I'm heading out tomorrow to buy some gloves and since the only padded jacket I have is a heavy leather (not very waterproof) one I was thinking of getting another padded waterproof one.

I know how you feel though, I feel ashamed riding past fully geared bikers with no gloves on, good on you!

The Jacket is an RJays Jetstream.

Waterproof, and VERY wind resistant - managed to test both today, and I'm bloody stoked!

Seems pretty thin, but kept me nice and toasty, my arms got cool at 0630 in the morn, but I didn't feel cold at all.

Head through the door, and aim straight for the back wall... $99 bucks down from $219... can't say no really.

The boots are RJays also, Vulcan is the style - real comfy, and also $99... tell ya, riding from 'kura into the CBD (my *first* town ride!) I felt so damn good, just knowing that I had better gears than my heavy leather jacket and my work sponsored steel caps on did absolute wonders for my confidence.

Yup, that's the one - almost wound up at the tyre place, as the Motomail signs aren't exactly lit up in neon with scantily clad lovelies waving crudely drawn signs saying "Bike gears in here". Pity...

Heh, yeah still got the RZ, think she and I have reached a bit of a truce... now I look better, she gives me a little less grief - typical bloody woman and her fashion conscience!

Go on... go shopping... then we can look all shiny together, and dazzle fellow KBers with our splendiferous shininess!

Ahh awesome, yeah I bought some RJays boots too, $199 down to $99, they're not very flash ones but they do the job and I'm very pleased with them.

Nice... self pressies are the best, you always get what you need (or want!) instead of the standard socks/undies...

Well Donor, you are now responsible for the sudden drop in my bank account :P

I saw the jacket you mentioned, I was quite keen on it.... untill some super natural force pulled me in the direction of another section of jackets. Now I'm the proud owner of a fully padded Rallycross dririder jacket haha, I love it, so breathable and so comfy - much better than a heavy old leather jacket on a hot summers day! It was $129 down from $349 - very pleased.

I also got some gloves, just some thin ones with padding down from $99 to $50, got home and opened the package only to find that they were infact SMALL instead of what it said on the package, MEDIUM.

And that motomail doesn't have a phone line so I guess it's back off to motomail for me haha, ahh well - just one of those things I guess, I just hope they have actual medium ones because they were bloody comfy. I dont want to have to turn up to the 250 ride with no gloves

Does feel good to finally be comfy *and* fully padded though.
