A good friend of mine got caught 55kph over the speed limit. 28 day ban, then in court got handed a 6 month suspension and a $320 fine.

He did the first 3 months of the ban, then bought a new bike and couldnt help it. He's been riding trouble free and behaving (but yes giving it some on nice back roads), 2 weeks to go on the ban and all is looking rosy. Not one bit of attention from a copper, but he's always paranoid.

What did you get done for Lukelin? because you still may be hit with a 6 month ban...

I thought i was all good when i finished my 28days, just thought court was to decide the size of fine, but was just completely gutted to get banned for 6 months...

Well, I got done for 130 over the posted speed limit, fortunately the cop I had wasnt too bad, He wasnt too happy he was doing 170 and I was pulling away though, anyway he didnt take my license because he only did me for exceeding 100km per hour, I ended up with a 730 dollar fine, and suspended for 28 days, as well as 50 demerit points, I rode every one of those days, cautiously and to the speed limit and didnt get pulled over,

Since then I have got some more demerit points taking my total to 110, I have now lost my license for 3 months as of 3 weeks ago, I got my bike back on the weekend and have ridden for the last 3 days, I am in 2 minds over wether to continue doing this, At this point I think I will only ride to work and back, and on weekends maybe to a destination, I am strictly sticking to the speed limits and road rules and I do not intend to go for blats on back roads,
I dont really want to risk getting pulled over again and losing my license for longer as well as having no insurance but because ive only had my bike back 2 days, at this point im taking the risk...

I thought i was all good when i finished my 28days, just thought court was to decide the size of fine, but was just completely gutted to get banned for 6 months...

much the same as cjade1 except i was doing 180, cop wrote it down as exceeding 100kmh and stated on the ticket speed as 160 cause aparantly anything over that and the judges go pretty hard on you. so hoping for a fine and no extra disqualification from riding when court time rolls around.

Mind you... I remember this time where the coppers tried to stop me, so I did this runner right, wheelied right over the harbour bridge, then they caught me, and I only got 25 demerits...
