I hear from the ol' man that he saw a biker out on a gixxer with a very worn rear tyre... nice big flatspot, went through the tread, through the webbing/fibre stuff, and into the rubber on the other sidethat was asking for trouble.... and he was riding on the open road... a rear wheel blowout at even 100ks is not something I'd like to try...

im not sure where you work XJ but my front tire was very bald, ask andrew, it was slicker than slick. I've had it swapped now with a spare tire i had which still has the chicken strips on it
