I've bought both my sets in from Aus when ordering other bits in. Cost me about $300 inc postage both times.

Innova rear knobblie has gone on with minimal fuss

    14t front sprocket on.

Front dirt brake pads to go on tomorrow (matched to disc on dirt wheel).

Pull the IMS tank off the DR and drain the fuel into the TT and spare tank.

    Get other shit together...

    Ahhh....
The front tyre has a nice round 0 psi.

I've put 30 psi in it and'll see how much is left in the morning.

I also noticed the YZF front end has a nice Pirelli Scorpion MX knobblie on it.
Quite a bit more tread than the KiwiX DOT front on it at the moment.
If the tube is shot, I'll put the Pirelli on...

28psi with one "oops" when pushing the gauge on and it sounds about right with the amount of air that got out.

Gone around all the grease nipples and pumped them full of slippery goodness...

    Ready to rumble...

I've taken crap off my bike, rebent handguards & blown up party balloons
As far as oil, air pressure & bike running goes- i'm leaving that up to the Gods.

Would you like a meringue or two for tomorrow? Seriously- there is about 30 for 8 kids...

    Yes.

Nice bit of rain at the moment to dampen down the track

Q1: Are you racing the TT or making a statement using the DR?
Q2: The new trials tyre is what type and is for the TT? Because the DR wears Shinko 705's.

The DR is semi-retired from gnarly adventuring.
I would use it happily if it was dry and my only bike.

If the TT had a spare, stock height seat, it'd be on for this race.
There's going to be a lot of paddling involved...

The DR also has a "race" wheelset with an MT21 front and Kenda 760 rear.

The new trials tyre is a Pirelli MT43 and you can't get a 17" trials rear dammit.
The TT wears 705's too normally
I changed to it's race wheelset for the last ride in Hira just to practice for this race and will probably change back to the 705 adventure set after this weekend.

Nothing Padmei and I did in Hira would have been impossible/impractical/insane on 705's.

The difference between the DR 650 & 750 sprockets is quite pronounced...

I'm obviously not reading between the lines or enough crossed threads. So Padmei & you are doing the 2 man on his KLX?

Happy racing. I think the meringues might be on the anti-doping list.
