Look what I took for a ride today (1 December)

    yes
after weeks and weeks of nagging from a dear friend,

i was in the right place at the right time for the first time in many years...

yep i was on the door step of ANZA out front there were 3 brand new demo BUELL'S...

when i was in CHCH for the battle of the buckets, i was given the opportunity to sit ( yes SIT) on one...
it was a "little" different to the turbo..

so i thought i must ride one of these things one day

    well that day was today.!
first i took out a firebolt.. 1200cc Vtwin beast...

    first thought?

there was far toooo much weight on my wrists around town... i was told how to get out of town and head to ... well i got lost, wheni saw a sign saying how far it was to levin, i knew i had missed the turn off.
then it rainned... no it poured i was soaked before i have even gone 5ks!!
but what the hell, i have a spare set of leathers at home for the planed trip to tauranga later today to change into...
started to go over the hill to ... well i canot remember where i was heading but the rain seamed to get even heaver so turned around and ... found out that there was a rev limiter.... hehehehe

got back to the "main road and headed for woodville... no i DIDN'T cross any yellow lines...

but back to the bike. this thing can handle ( but then again i do ride the turbo and even a stepthrew handles better...)my smile got bigger and bigger at every corner... no i didn't push the limit.. i just wanted to feel just how it worked and it worked great... shame that i couldn't feel anything with my hands as they had gone numb with the cold!
but the bike was so smooth

what i would change?... the harsh ride... i would ask shaun how to make it ride just ever so softer...

then i took out the 900 city..

don't waste ya money... in top at 100ks ... you want to over take .. change down 3 gears... then you MAY have some power to over take...
    otherwise it just bogs down...

but it is still far better than the turbo!!!
it just didn't move the earth for me the way the 1200 did!!
now where/how to get 19k for a new one?????
    anyone want to sponsor me?
i will love you short time!

    It's a nice bike, but the front fairing reminds me too much of one of these guys;

People give me grief about the motor with pushrods - until they ride one.
It's one of the sweetest motors there is in a road going motorcycle.
    Same with the front brakes.
So far mine has been the most maintenace free motorcycle of any I've owned or tested.
