    Raglan remembrance ride report

it was sunday, and i was still a bit tired from the ride back from the BBQ.
    i had returned at 2am.
during church i had trouble holding myself together, as the pastor spoke of the importance of having close trusting friends and after hearing about bruce and daryll...this left me with a sense of wanting to do something...
later that day, i called up a few friends, sayam5 (comet 250), Flux (FZR 250) and asked if they wanted to go for a ride.
the day previous i had been installing progressive's in the front of the GS, and heard on Hauraki that there had been a fatal crash involing 2 bikes, fucking cars i thought....
anyhow, we headed off down the raglan road, i had fun overtaking cars and my fellow riders round the outside of corners, the GS occasionally got some wicked shake going, my hands were hanging on tight to the cr bend mx bars..
i was thinking about the 3 kiwibikers that had passed away, and riding hard just felt right, all the way to raglan i hardly saw less than 110..
as i came charging over the top of the mountain, down into that first corner on the raglan side at 140~ish, i felt as though i should spend more time with the guys i ride with, and make the most of our friendship, and support eachother when we can.
we blasted all the way to raglan, it was great!
once there we had a feed, and a good ol chat.
i realised how good it is that we can do this, and enjoy eachothers company.
on the way back it was raining lightly, so the pace was slowed.
my progressives work very good, i must say though, what made the ride, was the guys that came.

yea was a good ride all right...was planning on a ride after work as well but would have just gone out on my own...certainly makes the ride having guys to cruise with, and i got into those corners a bit more in the day light of course.

was certainly sad to hear about the accident though...feeling a bit down today after finally getting back on the site since i haven't been on in a while and reading about all the stuff thats been happening

we'll have to organise some more group rides like so it keeps everyone safe and we learn to ride properly (i can admit my bike is tough to handle at the moment)

hope you get your bike fixed soon rob...let me know if ya hear about the job as well

    cheers

    Bruce
You can ride a motorcycle any time of the month
