To date, this is the hardest thing I am having to deal with.

Bruce meant so much to me.. I really don't know what to say.. He was my best friend.. Every second out of the couple of years I spent with him was enjoyable. I can't help but feel so empty inside.. He had my back and I had his covered, no matter what.. I thought we'd grow old in the same nebourhood and watch each others kids race on minimotos... Now, all I can think of is how much I miss my bud/bro/mate/friend...

Without suger coating anything, he was one of the best damn people I have EVER come to know... Intelligent, kind, caring, with the highest moral values, multi talented, Natural born leader, DAMN good rider and pretty much a role model for what people should aim to be as a person. I can't express how much this breaks my heart. People have said very nice things so instead of repeating the same words, I'll end this quick, now. RIP brother.

Daryl, like People have said. He was like a twin of Bruce. Fucking top bloke, top rider and a REAL REAL good guy. I had the utmost respect for him... Given the oppertunity, I would have liked to be a real close mate of Daryl too and I know we would have got on awesome.. It breaks my heart a 2nd time over, to come to terms with your loss as well... RIP man...

That's as much as I can type... I will never forget either of you guys for as long as I live. I will tell your legendary tales to people far and wide and make sure that you aren't forgotten in the memories of everyone I come across..

there is a way we know bruce will always be with us with most you find the brightest star in the sky .

to find bruce look for the star banked right over then it straighten up rips an awesome wheelie and then into a massive rolling stoppie

    that is bruce's star.

bruce was in essence my true hero and he was the one that got me convincesd to go from little mini bikes into his recommendation after a gn250 and a gpx 250 i got a zxr 250a model, bruce once had
one and said it would be a great bike and he was sure as heck right.
then as i got better and better due to his tips on things i gradually just kept improving more and more and more just aspiring to be like bruce be a true legend.

i'm still going to be, in bruces memory i am now getting back into bucket racing then eventually someday i will hopefully follow in bruce footsteps to new zealnd superbikes.

what happens in my life from now on it's all for you bruce brother my racing from now is dedicated to the memory of you. and if i win which i eventually will itll be for you mate and itll be you i will be thanking for getting me there

<<<<< thatll be reserved for you mate,

may you rest in peace mate you were a great man and a true inspiration to us all, and the reason i'm still alive to this day without your tips i would not have got myself out of some very risky riding situations

R.I.P bro, you were a true legend and i will never ever forget you.

    Regards: Mark

I read the news on the Herald website this afternoon. I guess because I live in OZ it seemed so remote, and so far away. That was until I checked my User CP. Bruce had sent me a green rep for one of my posts. Now all of a sudden, it's personal, and hit home.

I wish the families of both these guys my sincere condolences. RIP Bruce.

I recall my first meeting with Bruce, about 3 years ago I turned up at the normal place, the Autobahn, thinking I should be able to keep up with these guys, I didnt know of Death Inc(750), 2 Smoker(150),6Chris6 (600), Loosebruce(Mighty TL) and Draco(400) me on my Thunderace (so thought 1000CC should be fine), left the AB and most of them are on one wheel, I am thinking oh shit what the hell I have got myself into, we rode through to SH2 and turned off to Miranda, well next thing I know we come around a corner, there they are, all parked up and bits of TL all over the place, and Bruce smiling, and an Old lady looking white as a ghost and cannot believe he is ok, I guess thats when I started to believe Bruce was Mr Incredible, Gary and I went and got a trailer and my first KB ride was over early but got to meet my first set of KBers thinking what great people, and Bruce in the back seat talking about his off even with two broken hands he helped get his bike off the trailer and promising free pizza's for giving him a lift, on Monday I was off to buy a full set of leathers.
When I bought the RSVR I bought a set of cored cans and left them in the garage Brucie came home at about midnight from Hell as he knew I was riding with Death the next day and remember starting the bike up early in the morning and the ground started shaking and the roar was intense, I quickly shut the bike off (little did I know until later Bruce woke up and was laughing) I pushed the bike down the drive as didnt want to wake Bruce up. Bruce had put my pipes on for me to give me a suprise which it certainly did. That was Bruce though, I would often meet other KBer's at home as Bruce would be doing something for them even with the very little time he had with holding down two jobs. Just on Friday my girlfriend says to me, you need to talk to Bruce he needs to tidy up the garage hes got shit everywhere, never got to have that talk with him.......
Now I have to go to work and tell all my staff about Bruce he was of course well liked and a member of not only the Hells pizza family but a member of the SDV family as well, and its not going to be the same without the Gixxer or his poxy civic at work today.
A good friend will bail you out of jail........
But a true friend will be sitting next to you saying Damn we f****d up

honstly i donno what to say,
I was sorta shocked when i visited bret this yesterday morning, and he informed me.
Made a very somber ride back to tauranga.

Riden with both Daryl and Bruce, talked and bullshited with both, and both would go extra mile to help anyone if asked, i trusted if i asked a bike related question.

    RIP to Daryl and Bruce.
Great lost to motorcycling in NZ.

Thoughts go out to both there familys, etc.

A real shock and tragedy ...my thoughts are with their families and friends.

First met Darryl on one of Quasis rallies. He kindly lead us on a ride slow enough for me to keep up. Saw him many times racing and falling off

Bruce I first met on a "SLOW" ride up 16. With a huge grin on his face he turned and said ...slow...hell I got up to XXX kms on one wheel

    RIP guys

    RIP Bruce and Darryl
    Condolences to family and friends.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.
