I didn't know either of the guys but my thoughts go out to those who love them. I wish you all God speed through your pain.

This simply has to be the weekend from hell and one which we should both remember for a long time in memory of these (3) amazing guys and forget because it was so awful.

The ride to work this morning was somehow just not enjoyable.

    Ride safe everyone.

    That's true.
Some time back I was talking to Bruce at Motohaus - it was the maintenance evening Frosty organised. It struck me how friendly he was, and what a happy, carefree guy he seemed to be. We had a few laughs together over how ratty his TL was. This was not long after he'd cobbled it back together after trashing both his hands wheelieing it over a crest on a KB ride, mere days after getting his licence back!
Yup, he seemed to definitely be one for riding hard, and for grabbing life by the throat and making the most of things.

And like others here, even though I didn't know Bruce very well, it makes me sad to know that he and Darryl won't be around to make the world a better place.

    Rest in Peace, brothers.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I can't make the funeral, but my sincere condolences to Bruce's friends and family. I only really met him a couple of times and I'm gutted. Such a nice guy, so much promise and so full of life.

Like most here, this news left me in absolute shock. In the grand scheme of things, an incident like this, taking the lives of two guys like these, is just plain wrong.

Daryl and some of his mates from Hamilton were the first bunch of guys that I ever went for a ride with (was always a loner rider before that). He was instant welcoming to me, the odd one out in the group; full of good stories at the stops…and man those wheelies on every straight were glorious to watch.

I only met him very briefly a couple of times after that, never got to really know him, but he always had a smile to share.

His exploits on a basically stock R1 proved that a guy can get stuck in and do damn well without all of the trick shit, and that was an inspiration to myself and many others.

I never really met Bruce, but from the stories of others, the one word that best describes my image of him is integrity. He was always willing to help a stranger too, and spent much of his own very valuable time imparting to me via PM some of his vast wisdom on all things bike related.

A real tragedy this is…rest in peace you two, and thanks for giving almost everyone here, whether they knew you personally or through stories, a couple of fine examples of what a human being can be.

RIP Bruce and Darryl. I met both at a kb rally and spoke to Bruce at Manfeild when he showed up with both wrists in plaster. They were top blokes who'll be missed by many.
