That's your decision. Don't make these accidents your excuse though. None of these guys would want to think they put anyone off.

I guess you are like the "Unknown Soldier" to me,
I do not know you, but know of you and that what you had achieved and did for other riders is a legacy that will continue for many years to come.
I am sad that I can’t share in putting down my passenger footpegs, as my bike doesn’t have any, but after reading what others have said, my handlebars are there to guide a novice such as myself around these twists and turns, and to take control of the accelerator when I am going to fast or two slow.

    Farewell

Nice words Scott - Pegs are down and Desktop updated - Thanks for a great suggestion.

The Wairarapa Times-Age had an article on the sprints at Dalefield on November 26. Two photos of Bruce marshalling at the start line.

I kept a copy of the times age for him, was going to give it to him next time I saw him. He thought he was famous.... in the rapa.

crshbndct - I thought about not riding again... for a second. Uncle B taught me alot... but he still had a heap more to teach me, I'm going to make him proud of me.

Haven't been on Kiwibiker for some time... a shock to read about VTwin. I had first met him a couple of years ago on our way to one of the Coast to Coast rides. I was aware of his reputation in the local motorcycling community and I know he'll be missed greatly. RIP vTwin.

That cheeky humour and smile that made all feel welcome, including computer wanabe geeks keeping him up till the wee hours of the morning with billions of coffee and cigaretes.
I only knew bruce for perhaps a little over 18months but spent alot of 2005 doing most of my riding with, at the time, VTWIN. Seems I knew him for a lot longer there were soo many laughs and adventures.
Nicks radiator leak from Bruces SV. Helens accident (not so funny untill she wanted a smoke while the ambo's had her on oxygen). Coffee rides with Dapf out the bays. The scream of weasels 250 as she chased him up the rimas. Talking hours of bike bullshit, to name just a few.
Like many people on this site I spent alot of time following bruce because he knew the roads so well, he had such smooth lines and we trusted him. You didnt need to know Bruce for long to know you could trust him as a friend.
My condolences to Debbie and family (and the cats and huahua's) I can only imagine the degree to which his loss will be felt in your lives.
Thanks for the memories and friendship Brucie, you still owe me a coffee.

From what I've read on here, Bruce, I feel I know you now. This one's for you mate.

    The long and winding road
    That leads to your door
    Will never disappear
    I've seen that road before
    It always leads me here
    leads me to your door.

    The wild and windy night
    That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
    Crying for the day.
    Why leave me standing here?
    Let me know the way.

    Many times I've been alone
    And many times I've cried,
    Anyway you'll never know
    The many ways I've tried.

But still they lead me back
    To the long, winding road
    You left me standing here
    A long, long time ago
    Don't leave me waiting here
    Lead me to your door.

But still they lead me back
    To the long winding road
    You left me standing here
A long, long time ago (ohhh)
    Don't keep me waiting here
    Lead me to your door.

I also never met him but from reading these posts I wish I had.
I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted anyone to give it away as a result of this last weekend. I'm off on a "Can Cruise" shortly and I will have my pillion pegs down. RIP UncleB
