Yes, we spoke.(I think - if you were the slimish blonde) I was the dude in the fluoro vest.

Big thanks to all the mentors!!
cheers for giving up ur time to come n help out! its much appreciated.
Breaking was a great idea! i cant say that i wud have ever gone out on my own to a carpark and practiced breaking myself. - was a bit nervous with the heavier bike, just wish i had done something like this when i was starting out.
hope to see everyone again next time!

and to Disco Dan for organizing...![]()
What a wonderful bunch of people. Thank you everyone for giving up your evening to pass on a bit of knowledge to us newbies. I learnt a lot - so much more to learn.
the braking practice and the ride around the block were excellent and the ride on the back of the R1 was awesome!
Thanks Frosty and my Mentor ((TEC) sorry didn't get your name) for reorganising my handlebars - much more comfortable for the ride home.
Thanks Qkchk for the awesome R1 ride and the escort home (bloody Asians, driving on the wrong side of the road!)
You all deserve much more than a pint of beer. Everyone have a good Christmas and hope to see everyone again on both the Wednesday and Thursday nights ride.
A good effort I thought, few good things learnt by all (including the organisers). Perhaps next time we should do group introductions at the start, as most of us seemed a bit shy on that front, myself included.
DiscoDan - good on you for organising the whole thing.
Klingon - well done for getting back on the bike and right back into it, was good to see you heading down the mway. Good pace, good road position, excellent to see.
Julie - great to see you progress so far in such a short time! You were braking much harder by the end of the session.
The lady on the ZXR - you were braking so hard you had the back wheel waving round in the air!
The lady on the Hyosung - Standout effort of the night I thought, you had that thing stopping on a dime.
The guy on the Hyosung - good progression too, you were looking more comfortable with each pass.
Frosty - Good on you for changing the clutch lever, and for taking charge of the event.
Ixion, Qkchk, MDU, Mack, BigDog, Crashe and co - well done guys . . . it was good to see everyone progressing (and enjoying themselves) under your tuition and encouragement.

I'm not sure if I can make the next one...
Low/Highlights of my night... in this order
Meeting a lot of new faces. Always cool
Going for a blat about the place - again... always cool
... then things kinda turned sour
Kinda stoppie on the RF - (Mission Impossible Music here)... rear wheel up and ... well... I need to go fix that dent in the tarmac. All for a 3 or 4mm stoppie...
Heavy braking on the RF, front wheel hits white paint and the bars do a left and a right and a left and a right... stopped ok though
Afterwards for a beer... Mack grabbed by arse, not a brush, or an accident - we're talking ahandful here! Kinda scary but at least he let go and I was intact (Mack - you should have sen the face of the woman to my left!)
Frosty planted a 30 second kiss on the cheek as he left.
... not sure about this newbie crowd. Thank God there were young ones to keep us in check. Things could have gotten all carried away
