The lever you use on the side of the steering wheel is for turning the car isnt it?, you change lanes with it, it just happens to make a light flash at the same time.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
my own fault really.
And you always activate them just as you start to change lanes etc, - to activate them before you start your manoevre (sp) means you might wear the bulbs out early and have to buy new ones.Originally Posted by Milky

I know exactly what you mean, it's shocking the way other drivers treat bikes , I think they think you are only using a small part of the road and you can easily swerve to avoid a collision, the problem being is while that might be true you can't mind read as well. Damn scary glad you and your partner are ok
hey bykey - that wasn't you who kangarooed out of the give way on druces rd onto kerrs rd about 3.45 today, thought about it, realised that if you stopped you'd be t-boned by my mitsi, then rode off shaking your head....was it?
i had a little chuckle to meself i did![]()

IMHO car and some bike riders are becomming VERY lazy nowdays, by this I'm talking about the ones that drive (not drift) over the center line when going around a right hander all because they are too forking lazy too turn the bloody wheel/bars.
There is NO excuse for this as there is plenty of room in the left hand lane. I find when following a car doing this I am uncertain weather to pass or not as who knows what the hell they are going to do on the next bend. And then theres the ones doing it while comming towards you apart from making you soil ya undies it causes you to stand the bike back up cocking the corner up![]()
ps: good to see that BC suvived yet another normal w/e on the bike.
cheers DD

Jeez, it happened three times coming home tonight. I'm getting back on the Bandit. At least on that, you're past before they cross the lane divider. The Harley's too much of a slow target.
Over here they teach us to only indicate if it provides advantage to either you or someone around you. The idea being that it forces you to assess what you are doing and what is around you. Pulls you out of the 'I indicated so I must be in the right' approach.
They also teach us to check that the lane is clear before moving![]()

it's a 70k speed limit on kerrs, i was doing about 65, but the road crests a hill and you have to make a decision and stick with it.
