    A lot of time, effort and dedication has gone into keeping a VFR in fabulous condition. Well done mate!

    The "before" piccie certainly shows the amount of effort that has gone into her!

    yeah I didn't keep a track of how many hours I personally spent on it, but I reckon it'd be at the very least about 50 hours for me then another 50 by my dad the mechanic who got me the hook ups for the painting, helped me rebuild the forks, and fit the chain, sorted getting the cracked sump fixed, and another oil leak fixed

    well I opened her up for the first time, hit 9000rpm on a nice quiet road, and was doing a fairly decent speed in first gear, very fun to ride, and sound soo so good

    how about this, and then fix it up:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-81112557.htm
    wouldn't pay more than about $1300 for it
    front fairings from justfairings.co.nz $650 rear fairing $275
    or you could buy one of these sets off trademe, which may sort the subframe issue:
    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-80396991.htm
    painting around $800ish
    subframe = no idea
    Indicators maybe $100

    Yeah would be a good project, but I'm working like 50 hours a week til end of Jan, when I go up to Aucks to study. Plus I probably won't have my full by then, as I still haven't done the defensive thingy, (and I'm amazed at how fast a CBR250 R is, so probably not quite ready for a VFR). Could be a mid-year purchase I think, once tax rebates come in...

    BTW, wanna load up some sound clips of the VFR running?

    it sounds like a sewing machine at idle cause of the cam gears
    then higher up it starts sounding like a ferrari
    haha sorry I can't be bothered doing sound clips cause my cellphone would probably distort it and make it sound crap
